The Honey Hen Homestead was created around a simple idea: good things are worth growing, raising, and making well.

What started as an appreciation for a more hands-on way of living has grown into a small homestead centered on fresh food, healthy animals, productive gardens, and a closer connection to the land.

Our goal is to produce the kinds of things we want for our own home—fresh eggs, local honey, seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, and other goods raised or grown with care. We believe knowing where your food comes from matters, and that small-scale agriculture still has an important place in the community.

We aren’t trying to turn farming into something complicated. We believe in healthy soil, well-cared-for animals, responsible stewardship, and letting nature do as much of the work as possible. As the homestead grows, we’re continually planting, building, learning, and finding new ways to make the property more productive while preserving the character that makes it special.

The Honey Hen Homestead is also about sharing that experience. Whether it’s a jar of honey, a carton of eggs, fresh produce, flowers, or something new we’re trying for the first time, we hope everything that leaves our homestead carries a little bit of what went into producing it.
